December 18, 1:00 – 3:00 PM
The Silverton Grange invites you to attend an Open House and Holiday Party Sunday, Dec 18, from 1-3 pm to celebrate its community partnerships, volunteers, and improvements made to the Grange hall in the last year. There will be light refreshments and activities for children and adults.
The past two years have been dynamic for reimagining the future of Silverton Grange and taking steps forward with the vision to become a vibrant community hub and community of neighbors. After a period of shutdown from the pandemic and most recently for renovations, this fall, the Community Roots Middle School began holding its regular classes at the Grange during the week, and the hall has reopened for evening and weekend rentals. The Grange hall has long been in need of updates. With a matching grant from the Oregon State Grange to remodel the bathrooms, update the lighting to LED and put a fresh coat of paint on the outside of the building the process is well underway and this is just the beginning.
We are proud to partner with the following groups:
- Our neighbors who have grown produce for their families in our small community gardens this past season
- Silverton 4-H Club
- Silverton Food Co-Op
- Community Roots Montessori Middle School
- Silverton People for Peace
- Wild Food Adventures
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the renovations!
Thank you to all the volunteers from Silverton Grange, Community Roots School and the Silverton 4H club who made this happen!
